Little Fishes is this Friday at the Age of Fishes Muesum.

Little Fishes @ the Age Of Fishes Museum: This Friday 1 May from 11–11:30am, the Little Fishes will be getting hands‑on learning a range of fun and practical survival skills including basic navigation, finding water, building a shelter, identifying animal tracks, simple first aid, compass reading and knot tying. This is a free activity, and no bookings required. Just turn up on the day and enjoy a great learning experience.

Pickleball Canowindra: Pickleball is a fast growing, social paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Played on a small court with a net, solid paddles and a perforated plastic ball, it is designed to be easy to learn for all ages and skill. On Friday 1 May, Helen Garrett will be at the local tennis courts at 2pm to provide information and demonstrate the sport. If you would like to be part of this please show up and let’s get this going for Canowindra!

NSW Government: If you are storing fuel at home, only store small quantities. Fuel vapours are highly flammable, it is best to keep only what you need for things like the mower or generator. Overbuying for any reason or use means friends, neighbours and regional communities could go without. Find out more at www.nsw.gov.au/fuel

Wrrap With Love: Well done ladies, another eleven rugs are on the way to Orange, bringing the total for the year, 37. I can see 100 being reached by the end of the year. I would like to thank the members of the public for dropping bags of wool as every ball is put to use and some wonderfully colourful wraps have been produced lately. Thanks go to the ladies who are taking our wraps to the Orange Library where they are picked up by the Sydney Wrap With Love trucks. As winter is coming and knitting needles are coming out, if you can knit a 25cm square come along to our next meeting at Montrose House on the fourth Thursday in May. Thanks everyone – Nina Kallas

Tigers Trivia Night: Put your thinking cap on and bring along your brainiest mates to the Canowindra Tigers Rugby League Football Club Trivia Night on Saturday 16 May at the Canowindra Bowling Club. There will be categories for everyone and mini games throughout the night so bring along gold coins. The cost is $20 per person and doors open at 6pm for a 6:30pm start. Book your table of 8-10 people by emailing canowindratigersflfc@outlook.com.
