This is a competitive program that provides support for organisations focused on delivering positive benefits to Cabonne residents and contributing to the delivery of Council’s strategic priorities. Each project will be judged on its merits and the relative benefit it will return to the community. Applications are now open and close 1 May at 5pm. Staying Safe From Scams: Scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and older people are often targeted. Knowing what to look for, and what to do, can make a real difference. Join Council on the Ageing NSW (COTA) for a free community session in Orange on Staying Safe from Scams, where they’ll share practical tips to help older people recognise scams, protect their information and know where to seek help. If you work with older people, support someone in your life, or simply want to learn how to protect yourself, we encourage you to attend. This free event will be held on 30 April, 10:30am – 12:00pm at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club. Secure you place with free tickets at https://events.humanitix.com/staying-safe-from-scams
