C2G Walk: The 96km Cargo to Grenfell (C2G) Walk kicked off today, Thursday 12 March and will conclude on Saturday 14 March at the Grenfell Country Club. Plenty of Canowindra residents have signed up to participate in the walk and raise money for the the Headstrong Foundation – which aims to educate and support members of the community through facilitation of workshops and training. NSW Government Support: Drought-affected farmers across the state can now get more help including bigger loans and a new loan that is easier to access. The new loan includes reduced documentation requirements, more flexible security options, and an upfront payment option to help get funds sooner. Additionally, Writer’s Support Group meet at various times to suit our participants. Donation welcome but not essential. Enjoy a cuppa, chat, great company, practice or learn new skills. Orana House Trust Committee manage Orana House 32 Ferguson St Canowindra. It is available for hire too groups or individuals for non-commercial activities. Volunteer activities include committee members, social media and periodic working bees. Thank you.
Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch
Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch presents Christmas lunch for the community without charge. Planning and preparations are done by the committee with generous donations from Canowindra businesses and community members. Volunteer roles include committee members planning process, setting up Christmas Eve, preparing, presenting and/or serving food, room and table decorations, cleaning up after lunch, transporting guests if needed and advertising. Everyone’s help is greatly appreciated. Periodic meetings are held throughout the year. Thank you.
