Donations coming up to Easter: Lorraine Daly will be collecting food and items for homeless people and domestic violence victims. Items such as ring pull tins of food, packs of tissues, bottled water etc. Lorraine is also collecting bread tags for wheel chairs. Thanks to those that have donated already and other donations can be left at the Canowindra Public School front office.
Crisis Meeting Canowindra Pythons: Canowindra Pythons will be holding a meeting on this Saturday at the Clubhouse at 6pm to discuss the future for the Py- thons for 2017. Community Heritage Grant: Applications are now open and not-for-profit community organisations are encouraged to apply for the Community Heritage Grants Program. Grants of up to $15,000 are available for community organisations such as public libraries, museums, historical societies, Indigenous and multicultural groups to help preserve and protect nationally significant collections.

International Women’s Day: Was held on the 8th March this year with women across the country standing together to be bold for change. The Canowindra Phoenix are hosting an event tonight the 9th with many women in Canowindra coming along to support the vehicle of change. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Canowindra Retirement Village: Cabonne Council is in the process of formu- lating a public-private partnership to build retirement accommodation in the town. Expressions of Interest closed on February 15 and Council is now seeking author- ity from the Office of Local Government to enter into the partnership with a community care provider to get the project underway.
