Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Mel and Doug Corrigan who got married on Saturday. Enjoy sipping cocktails in Fiji! Congratulations also to Celeste and Beau McNaught who got married on Saturday!

Donations coming up to Easter: Lorraine Daly will be collecting food and items for homeless people and domestic violence victims. Items such as ring pull tins of food, packs of tissues, bottled water etc. Lorraine is also collecting bread tags for wheel chairs. Thanks to those that have donated already and other donations can be left at the Canowindra Public School front office.

Crisis Meeting Canowindra Pythons: Canowindra Pythons will be holding a meeting on this Saturday at the Clubhouse at 6pm to discuss the future for the Py- thons for 2017. Calling all members and players, for any inquires please call Mark Brown on 0408 635 610. Numbers for the Chris Noble team playing at Drummoyne next week need to be in as well as the Bal- loon Glow game.

Community Heritage Grant: Applications are now open and not-for-profit community organisations are encouraged to apply for the Community Heritage Grants Program. Grants of up to $15,000 are available for community organisations such as public libraries, museums, historical societies, Indigenous and multicultural groups to help preserve and protect nationally significant collections.

Cabonne Amalgamation No Thank You: Invite the community of Canowindra to the Canowindra Bowling Club at 6pm Saturday 11th March to thank those who have fought against the Cabonne’s proposed merger.

International Women’s Day: Was held on the 8th March this year with women across the country standing together to be bold for change. The Canowindra Phoenix are hosting an event tonight the 9th with many women in Canowindra coming along to support the vehicle of change. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Phil Donato to visit Canowindra: Member for Orange Philip Donato will visit Canowindra on the 23rd March 12-3pm at the CWA Hall for a meet and greet BBQ.

Canowindra Retirement Village: Cabonne Council is in the process of formu- lating a public-private partnership to build retirement accommodation in the town. Expressions of Interest closed on February 15 and Council is now seeking author- ity from the Office of Local Government to enter into the partnership with a community care provider to get the project underway.
