The Cabonne Unsupervised Pools Program officially opened on Saturday 11 October.

Unsupervised Pools Program: Pass holders for Cabonne Pools can now ac­cess the pool during designated unsuper­vised hours (6am – 7pm, daily). For further information and to apply for a pass, go to: www.cabonne.nsw.gov.au/Recreation/Swimming-Pools/Unsupervised-Pools-Program. All Cabonne Shire pools will of­ficially open to the public from Saturday, 8 November 2025.

HSC Nominations: An impressive five Canowindra High School Industrial Tech­nology students have been nominated for SHAPE, which is an exhibition featuring a small selection of students’ exemplary HSC major projects, picked from thou­sands of Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design pro­jects. A huge congratulations to Elsie Bo­land, Scout Stacey, Elsey Watson, Thomas Street and Sophie Green.

CWA Canowindra Branch AGM: Will be held on Thursday 23 October 2025, 6:30pm at the CWA Hall, Blatchford Street. Members are being invited to to take on po­sitions for the coming year. Perhaps your interests lie with cultural, handicraft, cook­ery, social issues or being involved in ca­tering or managing the hall. There’s some­thing for everyone.

Christmas Cake Orders Available Now: This year, the Canowindra CWA members will be cooking Christmas cakes to order. They will have a selection of their tasty Christmas cakes available with prices as follows: small $15, medium $25, and large $35. Text or call Collette Armstrong on 0429 929 678 to place your order. Orders close on 15 November.

Canowindra@home AGM: Canowindra@home will be holding their AGM on Thurs­day, 13 November 2025 at 6pm at Canow­indra Bowling Club. All welcome.

Wedding Bells: A huge congratulations to newly weds Madeline Cooper of Canow­indra and Jake Boyd of Cowra. Maddie and Jake tied the knot with a Nuptial Mass with Father Thao before holding a beauti­ful ceremony and reception at St Aubyn’s in Bathurst. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Boyd!
