Congratulations Cabonne Council: We are excited to share that Cabonne has been named the Winner of the Special Project Initiative Award (Population Under 50,000) at the 2025 Local Government Awards! This prestigious award is to recognise the delivery of the Unsupervised Swimming Pools project – which has provided community members with more flexible and increased access to the seven pools across Cabonne. Let’s Plant Trees For The Glossy Black Cockatoo! This project will improve habitat and connectivity for our beautiful Glossy Black Cockatoos – a species listed as vulnerable across NSW. Together, with MidLachlan Lancare, you can improve the quality and quantity of habitat across the Western Woodland Way between Nangar and Conimbla National Parks, building connectivity and strengthening bird habitat in the Mid Lachlan Region. The next planting date is 21 June in Mandagery.
