2025 ANZAC Day Commemorations In Canowindra: The Canowindra RSL subBranch has organised the following com­memorations for ANZAC Day, Friday 25 April:

• 6am: Dawn Service in Memorial Park, Gaskill St, followed by a gun-fire break­fast in the Canowindra Services and Citizen Club.

• 9am: Wreath-laying ceremony at the Canowindra Soldiers Memorial Hospital

• 10.40am: ANZAC March down Gaskill St. If you intend to march, please meet in Ryall St near the Junction Hotel at 10:30am to form-up.

• 11am: Main ANZAC Day Service in Me­morial Park following the march.

Be More Britto Exhibition: Australia’s Pre­miere Ballooning Artist returns to Canowin­dra with the Be More Britto Art Exhibition, with profits and donations going to Mater Hospital Newcastle Cancer Research.

Featuring 30 never-seen-before artworks and pieces inspired by Canowindra and the surrounding countryside, the exhibition will be held at the Canowindra Services Club from Saturday 26 April until Thursday 1 May.

Honouring departed ballooning bonvivant Paul Britto and featuring the art of 35-year balloon pilot John Turnbull, this year’s exhibition includes pieces like Dust Devil over Nangar (inspired by Canowindra ballooning stalwart Mike Sutton) and a se­ries of commemorative champagne bottles painted with the balloons participating the in 2025 Canowindra Challenge.
