The rain didn’t deter this group of Christmas helpers from turning the lights on the Canowindra Progress Association Christmas tree in Gaskill Street.

Christmas Friendship Morning Tea: The Canowindra CWA will be holding a special Christmas Friendship Morning Tea on Mon­day 9 December at 10:30am in the CWA Hall. All welcome.

Art Exhibition: ‘The Energy Within’ The Art of Transformation and Healing: Lo­cal artists, Kaz Clarke and Michelle McCor­mack, express visually the ongoing journey of emotional and spiritual healing through the transformative power of art. This exhibi­tion invites viewers to explore the connec­tion between creativity and emotional heal­ing. Their vibrant visual art reflects their own unique creative process of transform­ing energy from negative to positive, guid­ed by their inner wisdom. Exhibition open­ing night: 7 December, 6.30pm at Rosnay, 510 Rivers Rd, Canowindra. The exhibition will be open until the end of January.

Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch Meeting: Will be held 2pm on Wednesday 11 December at the Canowindra Bowling Club. Anyone wanting to help out on Christ­mas Day or Christmas Eve are most wel­come. Please contact 0487 801 767.

Winner: Congratulations to Robyn Miller who was the winner of the Canowindra Creative Centre raffle drawn on 29 Novem­ber. Robyn has selected Perennialle Plants as the local business to purchase from. Thank you to everyone for your support.

Canowindra Christmas Markets: Due to heavy rain last Friday, the Canowindra Christmas Markets have been rescheduled to Friday 13 December. Mark this new date in your diary and be sure to head along to grab some goodies and shop local this Christmas.

Stay Informed: Following recent heavy rainfalls, the NSW SES advises people in Canowindra to stay informed about pre­dicted possible minor flooding on the Be­lubula River. You should stay informed by monitoring warnings issued by NSW SES on their website www.ses.nsw.gov.au and Facebook page @NSWSES, listening to your local ABC radio station, and checking the latest weather information from the Bu­reau of Meteorology online.
