State Ten Pin Championships: Canowindra High School students Mathew, Ionis, James and Wil recently competed in the western area ten pin bowling championships. The boys set the lane alight and finished in second place, beating out teams from Orange, Dubbo and surrounding areas. The Canowindra High team will now compete at the State Championships in Campbelltown in Term 4. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement!

Scams Awareness Week 2024: Share A Story, Stop A Scam: Everyone has a part to play in shutting down criminal scammers.
From 26th – 30th August, Scams Awareness Week is encouraging all Australians to speak up, share and report scams to help others identify, avoid, report and recover from scams. Sharing scam stories makes others in the community aware of the scams that are out there, and how they can avoid them. Scams can be reported via the National Anti-Scam Centre’s Scamwatch at www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam
Volunteer Grant For Canowindra Historical Society & Museum: On 23rd August, Andrew Gee MP visited the Canowindra Historical Society & Museum Incorporated where he met with Cheryl Trudgeon and Jill McDonald to discuss the groups recent volunteer grant awarded by the Federal Government. Mr Gee took time to explore the exhibits and learn about the exciting future plans in store for the museum.
Andrew Gee greatly enjoyed his visit, saying: “The Canowindra Historical Society and Museum is a treasure trove of local and national history. Well done to Cheryl, Jill, and all the members of the Canowindra Historical Society. Your dedication and hard work are truly appreciated!”
