Alba, Archer, Kepi and Hemi Maere.

Stork News: Steve and Danni Maere of Cargo are rejoicing the birth of their fourth child, a boy, on 28th July, 2024 weighing 3.7kgs. Names chosen are – Kepa Robert Maere. He is a brother for Archer 7, Alba 4 and Hemi 2. Proud grandparents are Deb and David Jenkins of Canowindra and Kay­lene and Seymour Maere of Cargo. Great grandparents are Jean and Kevin Jenkins of Maroochydore Qld and Nancy Morrow of Canowindra. Nancy’s great grandchildren now total 15 boys and 15 girls.

Koorawatha Community Markets Are On Again: Head to Koorawatha on Sat­urday 31st August from 9am – 1pm and enjoy a morning out with friends and fam­ily. If you are planning to head out to the market, please ensure you take adequate cash, as not all stallholders have EFTPOS.

The Bureau Of Meteorology Is Building A New Website: Everyone can now ac­cess beta.bom.gov.au. This test website will run alongside the existing bom.gov.au website. No changes will be made to the existing services.

Scam Identification Workshop: Marisna is coming back to Canowindra Connec­tions Centre on Monday 19th August from 10.30am – 2.30pm to present another fun and interesting workshop that will answer your questions about how to recognise po­tential scams, keep your information safe and device security. Seeds For Success: Pick up some knowhow with the Local Land Services podcast. Seeds for Success is a show where LLS have a good yarn about ag life with produc­ers who are having a go. You’ll hear from farmers in NSW who are out there battling the elements, making tough calls and get­ting the job done.

TEN4TEN: Last week, Canowindra High School students Hayley Stephens and Lil­ian Harrison joined other members of the Regional Development Australia Central West’s TEN4TEN leadership group on the annual visit to the Parliament of NSW hosted by Member for Orange Phil Donato MP. Congratulations to both girls on being enthusiastic leaders of our future.
