Matty, Marty and Minnie

Stork News: Matthew McLean and his partner Marty, are rejoicing at the birth of their first baby, Minnie Grace McLean born in Orange Hospital on 13th May, 2024. Minnie is a sister for Poppy and Alfie. Grandparents are Rodney McLean of Canowindra and Therese Peters of Orange. Great Grandchild for Nancy Morrow of Canowindra.

Fungi Fun in Conimbla: Mid Lachlan Landcare invite you to enjoy a morning explore and fungi finding expedition as well as an introduction to natural fabric dyeing using homemade mushroom dye. Conimbla National Park on Tuesday 28th May, 9.30am – 12pm at the Wallaby Picnic Area.Please bring along your own thermos of hot water, morning tea, water and chair.Please note numbers are strictly limited for this event. Employer of Choice Professional Development Day: The NSW Choose Tourism Program will host a one-day seminar in Orange for tourism and hospitality operators to discover how to position their business as an employer of choice. Achieving recognition as an ’employer of choice’ puts business owners in the driver’s seat for recruiting and retaining the best people. This free seminar will be held on 17th June at Remington Orange, 9am to 5pm – followed by networking to 6pm. More information can be found on the Destination NSW website.

Lose Your Locks Fundraiser: Please support the Canowindra Public School SRC in their fundraiser for The Kids Cancer Project. Money goes towards supporting important childhood cancer research. If we raise enough Ms Laurie and Mrs Hawker will colour their gorgeous hair and if we reach our target amount Mrs Swords will lose her locks!!
