Flickerfest Is Back: Flickerfest returns to Canowindra on 15th October with another memorable screening to be held at the Rosnay Cellar Door. Doors open at 6pm for drinks and pre-ordered lamb curry dinners or BYO picnics, to be followed by two sets of short films. Pre-ordered dinners made by Andrew Wooldridge from his own sheep which graze the Rosnay vineyards. Rosnay organic wine will be served, and BYO alcohol is not permitted. Newcrest Mining Fun Day: The Cadia Valley Operations of Newcrest Mining is pleased to invite the community to their 2023 Mine Open Day, a fun-filled day ideal for the entire family, on Saturday, October 22nd, at 8:30am. Celebrating Actions For Peace: Chair of the Australian Chapter of the World Peace Bell Association, Cr Cheryl Downing is encouraging community members to make their way to Cowra Civic Square and ring the peace bell at a special ceremony planned for the International Day of Peace. The theme for this year is Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals. It is a call to action that recognises our individual and collective responsibility to foster peace.
