Canowindra Town Centre Activation Project: Locals and visitors to Canowindra may notice new seats that have been installed in the main street This is part of the first tranche of work funding by the Federal and NSW Governments to activate the Canowindra CBD.
Further works include new pathways to the Swinging Bridge area, tree plantings, new bins and additional planters, and accessibility improvements in Gaskill Street.

St Raphael’s Celebrates 150 Years: On 15th and 16th July, St Raphael’s Catholic Church in Cowra will celebrate 150 years of Catholic Education in Cowra. Fr Laurie Beath invites you to a Parish Dinner to be held on Saturday, 15th July, at the Cowra Golf Club from 6.30pm with a review of the 150 years to be presented. RSVP by July 10th for the dinner to the Parish Office Ph: 6342 1369. Cost $40pp. Due to the dinner there will be no Saturday evening mass.
On Sunday, 16th July, a special mass will be held in St Raphael’s Church at 9am, followed by the re-opening of the renovated
St Brigid’s Chapel, the unveiling of the memorial metal plaques dedicated to catholic education in Cowra, and the naming of the school’s primary section to the Brigidine Learning Centre. Morning tea will follow. RSVP for the morning tea to St Raphael’s School Ph 6342 2940. All are welcome.
