Canowindra High School: A huge congratulations to Emily Thomas (year 11) who was selected to participate in this year’s ten4ten program, run by Regional Development Australia. Emily has been partnered with Phil Donato MP, Member for Orange. RDA Central West launched the fourth year of the TEN4TEN Leadership Dialogue, with a networking and dinner event at The Greenhouse of Orange. We can’t wait to see what Emily gets up to with the ten4ten program.
Festival Of Small Halls: Upcoming event for your calendar, Festival of Small Halls returns Wednesday, 24th May to the Woodstock Memorial Hall. Once again amazing artists, Lucy Farrell, Hatz Fitz and Cara plus a local artist to be announced. Dinner will be available prior to doors opening, from 5.30pm. Canowindra Progress Association Update: Applications for the newly formed Canowindra Progress association can now be collected from the Canowindra Phoenix Office on Monday and Tuesday from 10am-3pm from 15th May. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in the joining and being a part of the committee.
One Library One Book Community Read: Dianne Yarwood’s bestselling novel The Wakes, has been chosen for an innovative program in the Central West that takes the traditional book club concept to the next level. Named One Library, One Book, the program aims to have everyone in the region read and discuss the same book.
“I’m thrilled that The Wakes has been chosen for the One Library One Book community read for 2023. What a wonderful program!,” Dianne Yarwood said.

St Eddie’s Visit The Theatre: St Eddie’s had an all school excursion to the Orange Theatre to watch the stage show of ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl. Students from Kinder to year 6 loved the show, with the lighting, sound and props keeping students enthralled throughout the whole performance. It was a wonderful day.
