Canowindra Connections Garlic Workshop: The Canowindra Connections Centre will be hosting Vele from The Garlic Kingdom on Saturday, 2nd April at 10am. Fine Art And Fungi Group Art Exhibition: On Sunday, 29th April, Rosnay Cellar Door will host a Fine Art and Fungi Exhibition from 6pm – 8pm. Local artists have responded to science’s belated discovery of the third living Kingdom on planet earth, fungi. Mid Lachlan Landcare has coordinated an exhibition at Rosnay to support Mycology May. The exhibition will continue throughout May so if you can’t make the opening head over to check it out at another time. The Rosnay Cellar Door is open Friday to Sunday from 10am – 4pm.
Residents Urged To Prepare For Mice Influx: The CSIRO and NSW Farmers have issued warnings about an expected increase in mice numbers heading into the cooler months.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said it is crucial the new NSW Government supports farmers and homeowners to prepare for the possible influx. “There are many households and businesses across regional NSW whose daily lives, mental and physical health was impacted by the large numbers of mice two years ago.”
Ms Cooke said at the time, the Government ensured bait supplies and rebates were made available with a $50 million support package for eligible landholders, households and small businesses.
Ms Cooke has called on the new Government to be prepared if the population spikes after what has been another bumper cropping season in many areas.
April Palms Markets: We are approaching that time again! On Friday, 21st April the Palms Market looks to be one of the biggest yet with loads of stalls already booked in. There are plenty of new stall holders, alongside the regulars returning for another fabulous night. Leon Just will be leading the entertainment for his debut at the Palms Markets.
