Congratulations to all Australia Day award winners: There were 29 awards handed out at Australia Day celebrations across the Cabonne shire last Thursday, 26th January 2023.
Congratulations to Canowindra CWA who were winners of the Community Group of the Year category. In addition to Emily Thomas, Young Citizen of the year and Peggy Nash, Citizen of the year.
The Cabonne Australia Day Ambassador was Cheryl Koenig, who attended ceremonies in Cargo, Canowindra, and Mullion Creek.

Don’t Forget To Download Your Active Kids Vouchers For 2023: Families are being reminded to download their new Active Kids voucher and save $100 per child on sport and recreation activities.
Minister for Sport Alister Henskens said a new Active Kids voucher became available on 1st January and would help ease pressure on family budgets.
“It might be the middle of summer, but winter sport registration is heating up and now is the perfect time for families to turn their attention to their new Active Kids voucher,” Mr Henskens said.
Families can access their child’s Active Kids voucher via the Service NSW app or website, attending a Service NSW Centre or by calling Service NSW on 13 77 88.

Roll Up, Roll Up: It has taken more than 50 years to see the return of a circus to the village of Woodstock and then the The Harrington Circus Show arrived. Funded by NSW Government Reconnecting Regional Communities Program, the The Harrington Circus Show performed five free shows across two days, in searing heat and humidity, with 1,000 tickets allocated.
The marquee was filled with applause and laughter, for the skills of the acrobatic artists, jugglers and the clown’s behaviour. The interaction and engagement with the audience was brilliant. A family run circus with an amazing story to tell, thankyou to the Harrington Circus Show team.
