Pink Morning Tea: The Canowindra Phoenix raised $670.25 for the McGrath Foundation last Thursday. Raffle winners were: Melanie Stanbury, Chloe Matchett, Janice Paul, Robyn from Garden of Roses Cafe, Patricia Stacey, David Answar, Bubba and Bear Kids Boutique and Fran French.

Morning Swim: 3 days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6-8am. Commences on the 1st of November, all children must be supervised by adults during these times.

Benefits of smiling: Smiling is contagious, lowers stress and anxiety, releases endorphins and you will be more attractive.

Joke of the week: Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7, 8, 9! Got a good joke, send it in to editor@canowindraphoenix.com.au

Love your liver: This organ flushes out the bad but you can help it do its job right by limiting alcohol, exercise, drink lots of water, drink green tea, have porridge for breakfast and snack on berries.

Oops we made a mistake: In our Light the Night article it is Kinsela Agriculture Martin and Helen Kinsela, who are sponsoring this years event.

Quote of the week: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” Dr. Seuss

Be prepared for unpredictable weather: Essential Energy recommends households have a storm emergency kit ready that includes:
• A torch with a supply of batteries
• Candles and waterproof matches
• A portable radio with spare batteries to keep informed of situation
• Non-perishable food, can opener and drinking water
• Spare warm dry clothing
• First Aid kit and essential medication
• A list of emergency contacts

Thankyou: To the following people who helped over the long weekend. Firstly, the NON show society committee members: Mark Brown, Chris Daly, Len Hamilton, Bill Watson, Shane and Heather Tobin, Anna McNamara, Olivia McNamara, Joanna Balcombe, Kelton Morgan-Smith, Eddie Brown, Rosanne Holmes, Peggy Beath and Sue Beath.
Secondly, the Canowindra PA & H committee members: Kylie McNamara, Phil Balcombe, Greg Hamilton, Sam Stranger, Stephen Russell and James Russell.
In addition to the above people, three very special helpers, Kerrie Smith, Brett Morgan and Brett Trayhurn. Their efforts over the
weekend were amazing.
Thanks again
