TripAdvisor Awards: The Age of Fishes Museum has won yet another award! Every year, TripAdvisor celebrates attractions that consistently deliver amazing experiences with a Travellers’ Choice Award and this year the Museum made the list again. The Age of Fishes Museum is in the top 10% of attractions worldwide. Balloon Joy Flights was also awarded for the second year in a row, a TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Award for Attractions. 

Electricity Network Maintenance: Essential Energy will soon complete maintenance on the high voltage electricity network which supplies power from the Paytens Bridge zone substation to the townships of Eugowra, Gooloogong and the surrounding rural area of Paytens Bridge, to ensure that the network continues to deliver a safe and reliable power supply. To enable the work to be completed safely, a planned power outage affecting 919 customers in Eugowra, Gooloogong and surrounding areas, will take place in the early hours of Sunday 17th July 2022, between 12:30am until 4:30am. 

Community Members Sought For Committees: Cabonne Council is seeking expressions of interest from community members to be appointed to Cabonne Advisory Committees. Committees include Floodplain Management Advisory Committee, Roads Advisory Committee, Economy, Tourism and Culture Committee and Age of Fishes Advisory Committee. To find out more information on each Committee, the requirements, and to submit an expression of interest, please visit www.cabonne.nsw. gov.au Expressions of interest must be submitted by 5pm 26th July 2022. 

Christmas in July Lunch: The Canowindra Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Wednesday 20th July with a Christmas in July luncheon at The Old Vic Inn at 12 noon. Cost is $30pp and includes main, pudding and a glass of wine. RSVP by Friday 15th July to Catherine on 0402 761 904.

The 2022 Cabonne Acquisitive Art Prize: The public exhibition opened on Tuesday 12th July 2022 at Molong RSL Club, and is open to the public during the Club’s opening hours. The exhibition runs until Thursday 21st July 2022 with an awards night from 6-8pm. 

Congratulations to Canowindra Junior Tigers players Lucy, Alex, Max and Sam who played in Bathurst recently with the Lachlan District Development side.
