Congrats Captains: Well done to St Eddy’s school captains for 2016, Georgia Robson and Jackson Stacey. We’re sure you will do the school proud.

2016 Preschool Committee: What a fabulous turn-out for the Canowindra Preschool’s AGM last week! Thank you to all who came along and put their hand up to join the committee. Congratulations to the 2016 executive committee which includes President Mandy Townsend, Vice Presidents Nadine Daly and Rachel Arnott, Secretary Dani Nicka and Treasurer Katy Henry. Everyone is looking forward to a great year.

Festival of International Understanding: If you’re visiting Cowra this weekend don’t forget your grass skirt to help set a new world record as you celebrate this year’s theme, the Kingdom of Tonga. The festival will run from 11th to 20th March, for more information call 0437 812 899.

Save The Date! For this year’s Cabonne Country Balloon Glow on Saturday, 9th April. Get ready for a day of flames and fun as gates open at 3.30pm at the Canowindra Sports Oval. One of the highlights of the night, the rugby union game, will kick off at 4pm in what’s sure to be a blazing battle between Canowindra and Yeoval. New entertainment for this year includes a
wine, food and craft market and fire dancers, so things might get heated! If you’d like
a stall please email lisa@canowindrachallenge.org.ay for an application form.

Songs Of Love And Loss: Fine Music is coming to Canowindra on 2nd April. Treat your ears to this concert, which begins at 2pm inside the beautiful All Saints Church with its magnificent acoustics. Tickets are $30 and are available at the Age of Fishes Museum or by phoning 6344 1008.

Garden Club Is Back: The Christmas break has come to an end and the club look forward to 2016 meetings. The March meeting will be held at the garden of Fran Wheeler, 79 Leneva Lane at 2pm on March 16th. All those with green fingers are welcome.

Public School P & C AGM: In the meeting held on Monday Belinda Neville was elected President, Beth Gordon is the Secretary and Julie Fliedner is Treasurer.

It’s A Sign! If you drive past Canowindra High School you may notice a brand new sign close to the entrance. The electronic, state of the art sign can include dates, temperature, welcomes and even images!
