Orange Show Win: The Kinellar White Suffolk and Poll Dorset Stud from Canowindra had a fantastic time at the Orange Show last weekend! It was great to see locals supporting the show and exhibitors from across the region. Kinellar were awarded Champion White Suffolk Ram with Kinellar 210252 and Reserve Champion Ram with Kinellar 210383. The Kinellar team are now looking forward to the NSW Sheep Show in Dubbo on 27th May 2022.
Firewood: Now that winter is on its way please remember that firewood cannot be taken from Travelling Stock Reserves. Fallen logs on these reserves provide critical habitat for native species. The public can apply for a permit to collect firewood from selected state forests by calling 1300 655 687 or visit www.forestrycorporation.com. au
Wyangala Dam Wall Raising: Water Infrastructure is back in the field undertaking more geotechnical investigations at Wyangala Dam. This current work is being undertaken from the crest of the dam wall and will help to inform the design development of the proposed Wyangala Dam Wall Raising project. Public pedestrian access to Wyangala Dam Wall will be closed from 2nd May to 27th May (inclusive).
