Canowindra RSL Sub-Branch members Nathan Flannery and Ian McIlvain selling ANZAC Day merchandise last week outside IGA in Gaskill Street.

Winners: Lawrences’s IGA would like to congratulate all the children for entering their colouring in competition held over the school holidays. Winners were Ella Parker, Nate Bowd and Lucy Carpenter.

Postponed: The CWA Craftanoon to be held on Sunday 1st May has been postponed due to the power outage. Keep your eye out for a new date!

Morning Tea: The next Canowindra CWA Friendship Morning Tea will be held on Monday 9th May at 10.30am at the CWA Hall in Blatchford Street. This event is open to anyone, no need to be a CWA member, head along and have a cuppa and a chat.

24-Hour Tractorthon: It is nearly that time of year again when the tractors will be doing laps around Canowindra Showground. This is a great fundraising event put on by the Central West Charity Tractor Trek Group Inc raising funds for sick children. The organisers would like to invite anyone that would like to be involved in the event which will be held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May 2022 to come forward.

You can drive a tractor, be part of the pit crew or observation desk. If you want to be involved please contact Nick Clancey on 0404 057 746.

Dinner Invitation: Everyone is welcome to attend the Age of Fishes Museum Association Dinner to be held on Wednesday 18th May 2022. The special guest presenters will be Dr David McGrath and Aleysha McGrath, owners of “Kalang”. They will be presenting their vision for “Kalang” and their plans for discovering the fossils on their property (which is directly above the Fish Fossil Dig Site). The Fossil Dig Site is where the 360 million year old NSW State fossil “Mandageria Fairfaxi” and many other fossils of significance were found. These fossils are currently on display at the world class Age of Fishes Museum.

The dinner will be held at the Canowindra Services and Citizens Club starting at 6pm and will cost $25 per person. Bookings can be made by contacting the Age of Fishes Museum on 6344 1008 or emailing fish@cabonne.nsw.gov.au by the 9th May 2022.

AGM: The Canowindra Pre-School Kindergarten Inc will hold it’s AGM on Tuesday 3rd May at 7pm at the Pre-School, all welcome to attend.
