Welcome to the world baby Phoebe!

Stork News: Jessica and Zach Gransden of Orange are celebrating the birth of their daughter Phoebe Jean born at Orange Health Service on 31st January 2022 weighing 6lb 6ozs. Proud Grandparents are Deb and David Jenkins of Canowindra and Max and Allison Gransden of Eugowra. Phoebe is the 22nd Great Grandchild for Nancy Morrow of Canowindra. On 9th February Jessica celebrated her 30th Birthday.

Many Thanks: The Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch was well received last year with those attending enjoying the company and food. Thank you to all the volunteers, supporters and everyone that shared their time. Special thanks to the Canowindra Bowling Club for providing their excellent venue. What a great community Canowindra is!

Day of Prayer: The World Day of Prayer celebration will be held on Friday 4th March 2022 at 10.30am at All Saints Anglican Church in Canowindra. In Canowindra all the churches participate each year, conducting a service on a rotating basis. This is an international ecumenical Christian laywomen’s initiative celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. The aim is to bring together women of various races, cultures and traditions through a celebration service prepared by women of a selected country each year. This year the service has been prepared by the women of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. All very welcome to attend. For more information contact Jan on 0407 025 821.

Free Courses: If you’re after a career in hospitality, the NSW Government is offering 5,000 fee-free Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) courses to enable you to gain the skills needed to enter this in-demand industry. Refresher RSA courses will also be available free of charge until the end of June 2022 if your RSA competency card has expired within the past two years or will expire before 30 June 2022. For more information visit www.skills.education.nsw.gov.au

Visit to the Museum: Phil Donato, Member for Orange made a visit to the Canowindra Historical Society Museum last week. “It was great to meet with some passionate members from the Canowindra Historical Society Museum, who wanted to share their vision for the museum, heritage structures and tourism. They’ve got quite a collection which is worth dropping in to see,” said Mr Donato.
