Christmas Day Lunch: The Canowindra Christmas Day Lunch is expected to go ahead this year and to be held at the Canowindra Bowling Club in Ryall Street. Much will depend upon any COVID-19 restrictions, but the planning is now well underway. Further information for any bookings will follow. If you are interested in volunteering on Christmas Day, helping with preparations on Christmas Eve or wanting to know further details, you are welcome to attend a meeting at the Canowindra Bowling Club on 2 December at 2pm or please contact Maureen on 0487 201 300.
Life Members Awarded: This week a very special presentation occurred for four ladies of the Canowindra Craft and Hobbies Shop. Lorna Cassidy, Elaine Pearce, Bev Willson and Lynne Dolbel all were recognised as Life Members. Congratulations to all the volunteers involved with this wonderful shop.
Mid Lachlan Landcare AGM: The Mid Lachlan Landcare Christmas catch-up and AGM will be held on Tuesday, 7 December at the Age of Fishes Museum, Canowindra. Dinner will be under the stars in the outside area behind the museum. The AGM will start at 5pm and end at 6pm. Dinner will start from 6pm. Please RSVP by Thursday, 2 December. Please let Tracee Burke know on 0417 799 425 if you will be coming for the AGM, the dinner or will be attending both and if you have any dietary requirements.
COVID-19 Restrictions set to ease: COVID-19 restrictions are set to ease in New South Wales at the 95% Vaccination rate or by the 15th of December. A proof of vaccination will no longer be required by the Public Health Order, masks will no longer be required in outdoor settings but will only
be required for public transport, planes and indoor front-of-house hospitality staff. Non-critical retail will reopen to all but density limits of 1 person per 2sqm for indoor and outdoor areas will apply.
There will be no person limit for gyms, indoor recreation, or sporting facilities. When visiting family and friends there will be no limit to the number of visitors in your home and no limit for gatherings that are outdoors. All school aged students have now also returned to face-to-face learning.
