Cowra Health Club Tipping comp winners
Cowra Health Club came out on top in 2021 The Canowindra Phoenix tipping competition.
Kris Knights said the competition was something entertaining to do during lock-down. “It’s something you get interested in. It’s challenging to keep up with your competition, but it keeps it fun,” Kris said.
He wouldn’t give away any secrets about how the Health Club won the competition, but did say they use the ESPN app when betting.
“NRL is something I follow. I watch most games on the weekends,” he said.
Somewhat ironically, Kris goes for the Newcastle Knights. Not inspired by his surname but the Andrew Johns era.
The Newcastle Knights lost to the Parramatta Eels in the finals last week. Kris was happy with that as his team would have faced the Penrith Panthers in the semi finals this weekend anyway.
His grand final prediction is Melbourne Storm against the Manly Sea Eagles. Adding that the Sea Eagles really crept up on their competition through the season.
Cowra Health Club won a television donated by Weily’s Betta Electrical in Orange.
