Landcare Digital Education Session Next Week: Mid Lachlan Landcare are offering a Zoom session on ‘animals of Box Gum Grassy Woodlands’.
From the comfort of your own home join Australian Wildlife Displays for a live experience of these animals up close.
The ranger will have a number of animals to show us such as the Shingleback Liz-ard and Murray Darling Python. There will be time for questions and finding out more about what habitat requirements they need to survive and thrive.
Those wishing to attend must RSVP via the trybooking event. Head to the Mid Lachlan Landcare Facebook page for a link.
The meeting is to be on next Thursday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, with the meeting link emailed out on Wednesday.

Weekend Rain And Flooding: Last week’s rainfall across the Belubula River catchment saw the river peak at 4.18 metres, causing minor flooding. The forecast for this weekend is bright and sunny, with only an 8% and 9% chance, respectively, of rain on Saturday and Sunday.

‘Central West Is The Best’ Photography Competition Open: Applications are open for the 2021 Central West Regional Development Australia (RDA) Photography Competition.
‘There’s no place like home’ is this year’s theme. Applicants are encouraged to capture the essence of their hometown. Entries can be a place, person or an event, and don’t need to be current.
Chair of RDA Central West, Ruth Fagan, said the competition is a wonderful platform to highlight everything that’s special about our region.
“There truly is no place like home and the ‘Central West is Best’ photography competition is a great way to capture what you love most about your community,” said Mrs Fagan.
Entry is free and open to all ages and photographic abilities. Entries close at 5pm on Friday September 24.
More information, including how to enter, can be found on the RDA Central West website at rdacentralwest.org.au. Categories and Prizes:
• There are two categories: junior (under 18 years) and open (18 years and over)
• There will be a first prize (up to the value of $300 + Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 camera) and runner-up (up to the value of $200) in each category.
• Two ‘special mention’ entries will receive a FujiFilm Instax Mini 11 Photo Kit. These will be drawn across all entries, junior and open.
