The Canowindra Golf Club and Chinese restaurant will be offering dinner specials over the course of balloon week.

Dinner Specials for Balloon Week: Canowindra Golf Club and Chinese restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner throughout balloon week. The Golf Club will be offering beef and gravy rolls and hot-dogs after 5pm and the Chinese restaurant will be having their own specials.

Free Fruit For Kids: Woolworths is offering primary schools and early learning centres across Cabonne the chance to receive free fruit for each of their students for a day, in celebration of giving away 100 million pieces of free fruit to kids instore. “We encourage all schools and early learning centres in Cabonne and Cowra to apply for their chance to receive free fruit for each student for a day.” Ricky McCabe, Woolworths NSW Store Manager said. Applications to receive free fruit for students are now open. Up to 100 primary schools or early learning centres will be given fruit for every student for one day. Dine & Discover At The RSL: The Canowindra Services Club will be accepting NSW Dine & Discover vouchers for their AC/DC tribute show on Saturday night, which bring the cost of tickets down to only $10. Get in quick!

Relocated Creative Centre Opening Hours: Canowindra Creative Centre (CCC), Shop 50, Gaskill Street is open for Canowindra balloon week, Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. Contact 0487 801 767 for further details.

Courtesy Bus for Balloon Glow: The Canowindra Hotel will be providing an hourly courtesy bus from 5pm. The bus will go to and from the hotel and sport ovals, shuttling balloon revellers. To book a seat, call 6344 1407 or 0497 441 409. The bistro will be having daily specials all week.

Flickerfest Comedy Tour: Flickerfest will be returning to Canowindra on Friday night for the Short Laughs Comedy tour. The screening will be held at The Palms, the lawn adjacent to Finn’s Old Store, 33 Gaskill St, Canowindra.
Doors open at 6pm for drinks and pre-ordered hampers or BYO picnics, to be followed by two sets of short films. Pre-ordered hampers for two will feature regional produce from Canowindra. Local organic wine will be served and BYO alcohol is not permitted.
All adult tickets include a free glass of Rosnay wine. Rosnay has been the exclusive wine sponsor and a screening partner for Flickerfest since 2009. Tickets can be purchased online: www.rosnay.com.au/product/flickerfest-canowindra-30-april

Flickerfest’s Short Laughs Comedy tour, will screen a selection of funny flicks including Bench, billed as “a short film about sharing.”
