Easter at the Beach: Seven-month-old, Malachi Douglas, enjoyed Easter at Culburra Beach, Crookhaven. Malachi’s parents are Rebecca Tangye and Brandon Douglas of Young. Malachi is Nancy Morrow’s youngest great-grandchild.
CWA Ladies Tour Eugowra Murals: Canimbla and Eugowra CWA members enjoyed a walk around Eugowra Murals on Friday, 26 March. The day began with coffee at Van Parcel, followed by the walk, then lunch at the hotel. The ladies were very impressed by the murals and congratulate Eugowra on the effort.

Creative Centre Is Moving: The Canowindra Creative Centre will be moving into new premises on 16 April. The store will continue to provide great local and regionally made products at their new address, 50 Gaskill Street. Perennialle on the Air: Chris and Nerida Cuddy were interviewed for ABC Radio National’s Country Breakfast with Edwina Farley last weekend. The interview centred around the Cuddys’ work revamping the old Canowindra Motors building, in preparation for their garden centre Perennialle Plants to take up residence very soon. Nerida spoke of their desire to sympathetically restore the building to fit with historic Gaskill Street’s heritage look. The interview is available to stream online here: rb.gy/dwvq0k
Calls For Help For Working Bee at the Cemetery: Tommy Jeffs is calling for help to get the cemetery looking nice and tidy ahead of the Balloon Challenge and Mother’s Day. The more people come out, the more quickly the site will be looking spick and span. The working bee will be held on 2 May at 12pm. Helpers are asked to bring any wheelbarrows, whipper snippers and lawn mowers they can. Call Tommy for more information on 6344 1006 or just turn up ready to work.
Nancy’s Eight Greats: Heather Gilroy from Victoria enjoyed Easter at Lake Burrendong with four of her children and eight grandchildren. They travelled from Rockhampton, Marulan, Griffith and Canowindra for the weekend. The children are eight of Nancy Morrow’s great-grandchildren.
