Cabonne Art Prize: Time is running out to enter the annual Cabonne Acquisitive Art Prize, which offers a total of nearly $6,000 in prizemoney to Cabonne artists young and old. Entries close at 5pm Friday 19 February 2021.
Works should be submitted between 22 February to 26 February, with the exhibition opening Saturday 27 March 2021.
Artists wishing to enter the competition should visit the Cabonne Council website and click the link to the Cabonne Acquisitive Art Prize in the menu.

F.O.O.D. in Canowindra: The Canowindra Business and Progress Association is currently looking for expressions of interest in “A Taste of Canowindra” promotion to be held on the 17th of April 2021 during Orange F.O.O.D week.
Participating local cafes and eateries shall offer a special Taste of Canowindra Local dish/menu for the weekend in the spirit of the 100 mile concept and the F.O.O.D week celebration of our region’s local food producers. Sounds At Sunset Update: There is a new line-up for the Sounds of Sunset community event at Canowindra Sports Ovals on 6th February which now includes: The River Rats, Guilty Dogs and 100 mile Groove vinyl DJ set.
The Lions Club will be set up for dinner and Pythons Rugby Club will have the bar open. It is cash only, no EFTPOS facilities.
Due to COVIDSafe regulations it is best to register for free tickets. Children are included in numbers so should be registered as well. You can register online at soundsatsunset.eventbrite.com.au.
Seating is limited so attendees should bring a picnic blanket or camp chairs. Per current regulations, dancing will not be permitted and everyone must be seated.
