Stimulus vouchers available in the new year: The new stimulus voucher scheme will see every NSW resident aged 18+ eligible for four $25 vouchers worth $100 in total that can be used at restaurants and cafes and on arts and tourism attractions across the state. Vouchers are not yet available but will be rolling out in the new year. Stay tuned for more info at nsw.gov.au

Opening hours for CCC: Canowindra Creative Centre Shop at 44 Gaskill St extended open times this week Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10am – 3pm, Saturday 9am – late, Sunday 10am – 3pm.

Applications now open for grants to support veterans: Grants for activities and services which improve the health and wellbeing of veterans and their families in the Riverina and Central West are now available, with the latest round of Veteran and Community Grants (V&CG) program now open.

“Grants can provide seed funding for projects which promote a healthy lifestyle, help veterans to remain living independently in their own homes, reduce social isolation, support carers and improve access to community services,” Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack said. “Local communities know best what will benefit veterans and their families and these grants will provide opportunities to community organisations to extend this important support.”

Ex-service organisations and community organisation partners are invited to apply for grants of up to $20,000 for local, community-based projects and activities. A small number of large grants of up to $150,000 are available for projects which deliver wellbeing support services and activities of broad-scale benefit to the veteran community.

“I encourage any Riverina and Central West ex-service or community organisation with ideas for practical projects and activities which support safe environments for veterans and their families to connect and engage to consider making an application,” Mr McCormack said.

The 2020-21 grant round is now open online. Grant applications will close 29 January 2021. For information about how to apply visit the Community Grants Hub website www.communitygrants.gov.au. Assistance with grant application queries is also available by phone on 1800 020 283 or email support@communitygrants.gov.au

Show your support for Western Link: Mayor Kevin Beatty is encouraging residents to show support for faster, safer, and more reliable transport connections between Western Sydney and Central Western NSW by signing the Western Link petition which can be accessed via this link: https://westernlink.org.au.
