Canowindra Garden Club: Were treated to two gardens last Wednesday, the first visit was at the home of Mark and Janelle Pearce after a wedding was held at the garden. The vast garden was in full bloom and definitely something to see with its many sections to explore. Nola Meggitt also opened her garden and Garden Club members were able to see progress since their last visit.

Cemetery Clean-Up: Will be held this Sunday 8th November at 12noon. After a week of sunshine the mud will be dry, everyone is welcome to come along and help out.

Canowindra Pool to Open: Canowindra Swimming Pool will open on Saturday 7th November 2020. Daily Entry Fees are as follows: Spectator (Non Swimmer) are free, Under School Age – $2, School Groups – $3, Child – $3, Aged Pensioner, Concession Card Holder – $3, Adult – $4.30. Sea- son Pass Fees are as follows: Child – $81, Aged Pensioner, Concession Card Holder – $ 81, Adult – $ 115, Family – $ 235 (2 Adults and children up to 18 years old).

Calling all Mo-Bro’s: Australia’s leading men’s health organisation Movember is reminding Aussies that in 2020 it will be the most important Mo you will ever grow after
such a tough year. Figures released earlier this year by Movember, as part of a global study carried out by the Social Research Centre found that: Over half of Aussie men (52 per cent) said no one asked how they’re coping during the COVID-19 pandemic, 23% of men said their mental health had worsened in the first six weeks of the pandemic, with 30% noting increased feelings of loneliness, older men are the group most likely to have experienced poorer social connection, with 61% of men aged 45+ years reporting they feel less connected to their friends since the COVID-19 outbreak, in Australia, calls to Lifeline increased by 25% when physical distancing kicked in.
