Cabonne Council to provide bulky waste clean-up: Cabonne Council will start providing a bulky waste clean-up service from Monday, August 15. The service will allow the collection of larger items, and will enable items suitable for recycling to be diverted from landfill, thereby maximizing the life of this valuable resource. Residents are being asked to place their bulky
waste neatly on the edge of their kerb where their normal weekly garbage and recycling bins are emptied. Residents should also do this the weekend before the collection run commences. The limit for bulky waste is two cubic metres.
Don’t miss the chance to dispose of unwanted chemicals: Farmers and users of agricultural chemicals will have the chance soon to dispose of unwanted chemicals though a statewide collection program. The ChemClear NSW collection will be held in October, but bookings are essential and must be made by September 2 2016. Keeping old or unwanted agricultural and veterinary chemicals in your shed presents an unnecessary risk to staff, family, livestock, pets and the environment. The ChemClear team will be on the road from mid-October and will spend about four weeks safely collecting and disposing of agvet chemicals from hundreds of registered participants. You can register to dispose of your unwanted chemicals by calling the hotline on 1800 008 182 or visiting www.chemclear.com.au
