Service Dog: Local student Zach Benham is excited that he and his service dog Eva passed their assessment recently. Eva is now on the service dog program and will receive her special vest and ID in the coming weeks.
Fee Funding Relief: The NSW State Government has extended COVID-19 relief funding for community and mobile preschools until the end of Term 4. Parents will now not have to worry about the financial burden of sending their children to preschool in what is already a difficult time for many families. The NSW Government recognises the importance of early education in a child’s life and is making it easier for parents to keep children in preschool during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Elvis Festival Moved to March: The Parkes Elvis Festival have announced that the 2021 Festival that was scheduled to take place from 6-10th January 2021 is moving to 10-14th March 2021 whilst the final decision to proceed or cancel will be made by 28th September 2020. The Festival team continue to monitor the situation with the safety and well-being of the community, artists, fans, staff and businesses first and foremost.
CWA Meeting: The Canowindra CWA Branch will hold a meeting this Saturday 29th August from 12noon-3pm at the CWA Hall in Blatchford St. There will be a light lunch provided followed by judging of the international school competition projects and a general meeting. You must RSVP to Treasurer Monica to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

Garden Club AGM: Was held last week and the new committee now includes: President – Carolyn Wythes, Vice President – Mary Finn, Secretary – Deirdre Keady, Treasurer and Public Officer – Cheryl Wythes, Publicity Officer – Narelle Hughes, Program Co-ordinators – Nola Meggitt and Linda Guthrie.
