Welcome to the world baby Malachi
Stork News: Nancy Morrow is rejoicing the birth of her 20th great grandchild born in 2020. Proud parents are Rebecca Tangye and Brandon Douglas of Young. Malachi Psalm Douglas was born at Cowra Hospital on 22nd July 2020 weighing 3.5kg. Malachi is the 8th grandchild for Sharon and Colin Tangye of Gooloogong. Malachi is the 5th grandchild for Lin and Garry Douglas of Young. Great grandparents are John and Jennifer of Katunga, Victoria and Rita Rochester and Kenny Douglas of Manildra.
Meeting Postponed: The next meeting for the Canowindra Historical Society will be held on Tuesday 8th September 2020 at the museum after the August meeting was postponed.
COVID Update from IGA: A few people have asked if it’s mandatory for staff to wear masks and if customers should also be wearing a mask at Lawrence’s IGA. No it’s not mandatory as yet but it’s been strongly advised so as a team the IGA staff decided to wear a mask to keep all staff, families and customers safe. There are also new arrows on the floor in the aisles as in some places it’s hard to maintain a 1.5m distance. Please follow the arrows and keep a safe 1.5m distance from other customers. Also please grab a trolley or basket (per person) to help staff know how many people are in the store at once.
Canowindra Creative Centre: Offer Craft on a Monday from 11am and Mosaic on a Tuesday from 10am at Orana House in Canowindra. If you are keen to try your hand at either, head along with a gold coin donation, everyone is welcome!
