$3,000 grants for small business: Eligible small businesses can apply for NSW Government recovery grants of up to $3,000 to help get back to business by meeting the costs of safely reopening or upscaling operations. The grant can be used to make fit-out changes, provide staff training and counselling, cover advertising and communications expenses and purchase cleaning products or services. Canowindra Business and Progress Association Meeting Tonight: The Canowindra Business and Progress Association will be meeting tonight from 5.30pm at the Canowindra Services Club. All are welcome to attend with two important items up for discussion being change in leadership of the organisation and the Mainstreet Precinct Issues Paper. Your input is important, comments must be in to council by 24th July to ensure the best chance of gaining grants. Donation to Uniting Hospital Auxiliary for Canowindra Health Service: Although Canowindra Lion’s Club have been unable to hold their annual Changeover dinner due to Covid restrictions they have maintained their annual donation to the Canowindra United Hospital Auxiliary. The cheque was presented by Lioness Tina Davis to Canowindra Health Service Manager, Janice Rumph and accepted on behalf of the Canowindra United Hospital Auxiliary. The Hospital and the United Hospital Auxiliary are very appreciative of such generosity especially considering the current restrictions. The funds will be put towards items that benefit patients in the hospital.
Canowindra Public School 2020 Paver Fundraiser: Did you think you missed your chance of ordering a paver for the new path at Canowindra Public School? Well the good news is you haven’t!
Canowindra Public School has extended its paver fundraiser until Friday, 25th September giving past and present students, teachers, community members and connected businesses plenty of time to have their name or design engraved on a paver and added to the schools beautification project. Pavers can be engraved with names or a special message related to Canowindra Public School.
It has been nine years since the last path was completed with the past students’ names engraved so don’t miss out on getting your piece of memorabilia added to the school. The cost for one paver (up to 3 lines) is $35, a double paver (up to 6 lines) is $60 or design your own paver for $35. Payments and forms are now due by Friday 25th September.
