
Local Librarian Rossanne Holmes was dressed up last week ready for National Simultaneous Storytime.
Chicken Divas: Last Wednesday at 11am for the first time a Virtual National Simultaneous Storytime was held with children all over Canowindra being read Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas by Lucinda Gifford.
Canowindra Bowling Club to Re-Open: The Club will be re-open from this Friday 5th June at 3pm. It will be open 7 days per week, weekdays from 3pm and on Saturday and Sunday it will open at 11am. The Club has been deep cleaned and sanitised during its closure. Roll Up Bowls will be available to play with some conditions. There is currently no social or competition bowls being played. The restaurant is open for dine in for dinner and takeaway is available for both lunch and dinner.
Driver Testing Update: Service NSW are now re-scheduling previously booked car tests. If you had a car test that was cancelled, you will be contacted by the Service Centre to re-book. Alternatively, you can at- tend your local Service Centre or call 13 22 13 to reschedule your appointment. Customers who want to make a new booking should refer to eligibility requirements for a priority testing application at www.service.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/driver-testing-and-covid-19

Support of Local Media: The Mayor put forward a Mayoral minute last week which stated that Cabonne Council continue to support local media in Cabonne through advertising of public notices. The Office of Local Government recently introduced temporary modifications to some regulations in response to COVID-19. Councils are now only required to publish notices such as tenders, development approvals and other information on their websites. However, as the small communities in Cabonne rely on their local newspaper to get information, Cabonne Council will continue using them to communicate and engage with the community on matters affecting them.
The Cudal Camp Draft Committee: Recently received a $10,000 grant under Round 5 of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme from Mr Andrew Gee, Federal Member for Calare. “It was great to catch up with the Cudal Camp Draft Committee to check out work to date on the grounds and their future plans, to see this key community event reach its full potential,” said Mr Gee.
