CWA Appointment: Congratulations to Jan Kerr from Canowindra for taking over the position of State Executive Committee Member for Central Western Group CWA from Helana Donaldosn. Helen Southwell hosted a lovely morning tea and lunch to mark the occasion.

Phoenix Poll: We would love to hear from you if you have missed out on having The Canowindra Phoenix delivered to your mailbox recently. Simply email editor@canowindraphoenix.com.au, call 6344 1846 or DM on Facebook.

Library to Re-Open: The Canowindra Library in Gaskill St will re-open it’s doors on Tuesday 2nd June with limited services, including borrowing and returning items only.

Apply Now: The Council of Small Business Organisations Australia will be offering $10,000 grants to 67 Australian small businesses that have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. These grants are offered to help assist businesses on the pathway to recovery after the temporary closures and restrictions resulting from COVID-19. Cashflow is an issue for many smaller businesses. The funds are aimed at supporting initiatives by small businesses as they adapt and innovate to emerge from this challenging period in a strong position. Such initiatives could include: re-purposing or re-modelling workspace, redesigning your business processes, new approaches to marketing, creating a new or upgraded digital presence, acquiring new software or equipment for a specialised service, or anything else that is aimed at securing or growing your business into the future. Apply online at www.cosboa.org.au/smallbusinessrelieffund

Office to Re-Open: The Canowindra Phoenix office at 84 Gaskill St will re-open on Monday 1st June 2020. We look forward to seeing everyone again.

Golf Results: On Sunday 24th May 16 players gathered for a Stableford Event. The winner with 36 points was Ross Noble and the runner up was Brit Gibby with 34 points. Thanks to Steve Campbell for his sponsorship of this event. This week is a 27 hole 2 Man Ambrose Championship sponsored by D & E Electrical.

Contributions Welcome: We would love to hear from you! Please email your Be Seen photos, Stork News, Way Back When photos and story, Engagement News, Wedding Bells, Anniversary celebrations or Birthday photos to editor@canowindraphoenix.com.au or phone 6344 1846.

Canowindra Creative Centre Shop: At 44 Gaskill St will be open Saturday 9am – 3pm and Sunday 10am – 3pm. There is a great range of local, regional and retail products available and plants.

Will Harris and Will Swords enjoyed catching up back at school on Monday.
