Name Change For New Queens Club – Tommy Jeff’s hosted his first ‘Queen’s Club Luncheon’ at Montrose House on Thursday. Tommy said the event, which was originally called the First Wives Club, had a name change after a talk at Montrose. “The ladies said ‘we don’t want to be the first wife we want to be the only wife’ and I agreed with them! There’s a queen’s club in Sydney where lots of elegant ladies go for lunch so we decided that would be a
good choice of name” Tommy said. The event was a great success with 15 ladies attending.
Moorbel Markets Are Back! On Saturday 5th March from 8am until 12 noon at Moorbel Hall, an eclectic range of stalls will be available. Find everything from vegetables, free range eggs and Doug’s gourmet potatoes to goats milk soap, bic-a-brac and lovely homemade cooking. There will also be beautiful items with that personal touch, jewellery and jams. A barbecue will offer up sausage or rissole sandwiches and you can also enjoy a cup of tea and a scone.
Feeling Crafty? The Canowindra Creative Centre (Triple C) are meeting on 7th March from 10.30am to 12 noon at Canowindra CWA to attend an ‘Introduction to Mosaic’. Basic equipment will be provided to create your very own mosaic while you enjoy great company in a friendly environment. Tea and biscuits will be provided and donations welcomed. Stork News – Sarah Isaacs and Jayden Brown had the Central West’s first leap year baby on Monday 29th February. Jaxton Kenneth Brown, named after his great grandfather, Garry McClintock, is a healthy, 3540 grams boy. Proud grandparents are James and Kari Isaacs, Kim McClintock and Terri Isaacs.
