It’s No Time to Be Complacent: The Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) has urged local residents to come forward for COVID-19 testing, even if the symptoms they have experienced are mild. “This is a really critical time for people like us who are living in western NSW,” said WNSWLHD Chief Executive Scott McLachlan. “It’s very likely that there are some people in our community who have COVID-19 but have symptoms that are mild enough that they haven’t really noticed or been too concerned about it. We need those people to be tested so we can support them, reduce the potential for COVID-19 spreading, and to better understand just how prevalent the disease is,” concluded Scott.

International Nurses Day: Health services around NSW came together on Tuesday 12th May to honour the work of nurses. Everyone should be incredibly proud of nurses across Western New South Wales Local Health District who have proven their tenacity and resilience especially through this COVID pandemic. There are more than 50,000 Nurses and Midwives in NSW Health’s hospitals and services and they provide safe, quality care for the people of NSW. They are the ‘Healing Hearts’ of the NSW Health service.
