Swim Club AGM Results: The AGM was held last Friday night and the new commit- tee for 2020 are President Al Stephens, Vice President Beth Gordon, Secretary Bec Dunkley, Treasurer Jenny McDonald, Registrar Racheal McCaffery, Race Secretaries Renee Sunderland, Kristy Blakeley and Lana Brown, Publicity Officer Abbey Slattery, Member Protection Officer Jane Atkinson, Race Referee Chris Rowston, Race Starter Adam Sunderland, Merchandise Coordinators Marilyn Daley and Annette Thomas and Carnival Convenor is still to be filled.

War on Waste Update: A big thank you to Foodworks Supermarket and the Cabonne Council/HACC Office in Canowindra who host the CWA Soft Plastic collection bins. The CWA have had less contamination in the bins since the beginning of the year, so there is less work for the volunteer collectors. Remember only plastic that scrunches into a ball can go into these bins. For example: cling wrap and plastic Australia Post satchels. Check out the Redcycle webpage for more information at www.redcycle.net.au/what-to-redcycle/ The CWA in Canowindra are also starting to collect plastic bottle lids and bread tags, by recycling these items it keeps them out of landfill and gives them another useful life!

Showtime: The 119th Canowindra Show, to be held on 25th-26th September have some exciting new and old events taking place for 2020 including the Yard Dog Trials, Car and Bike Show and Shine and The “U Beaut” Ute Competition fun on Friday night. The Rural Achiever Program will also take place alongside the Showgirl Com- petition. There will also be horses, show jumping, sheep, cattle, dogs, the Tractor Pull and the Animal Nursery. The Ladies Auxiliary are getting ready for another full Cobley Pavilion too. The 2020 Canowindra P A & H Association committee members for 2020 are: President Greg Hamilton, Treasurer Karen Cummings, Assistant Treasurer Lynne Russell, Secretary Sarah Cummings, Vice Presidents Stuart Gavin, Andrew Holmes and Geoffrey Beath and Public Officer Ron Cain.

Cancelled: The Cargo Markets to be held on Sunday 29th March 2020 have been cancelled, “In Cargo we have a large population of people in the high risk category as well as some of the stall holders and don’t want to risk their health,” said Market Organiser Kathy Wicks.
