Past Canowindra High School student Ella Gruessing pictured at Cowra Services Club after being awarded a scholarship.

Win for Ella: Congratulations to Ella Gruessing, Canowindra High School Student – Year 12, 2019 who was last Saturday night awarded a $2,000 Scholarship from The Australian Federation of Graduate Women NSW at Cowra Services Club. The Federation aims to ‘Empower Women Through Education’. Well done Ella on this wonderful achievement!

Save the Date: The next Cargo Markets will be held on Sunday 29th March 2020 from 10am-3pm. Other market dates for the year are May 31st, August 30th and November 29th 2020.

Save the Date to Vaccinate app keeps kids safe: NSW Health is urging parents and carers to ensure children are vaccinated on time and has warned vaccinations shouldn’t be delayed even if a child has a minor illness. Simply download the Save the Date to Vaccinate app to ensure your children receive vital vaccinations on time. The free Save the Date to Vaccinate app reminds parents and carers what vaccinations their child needs and when they’re due, in line with the NSW Immunisation Schedule. If a child has a runny nose or slight cold, they can still get vaccinated. Delaying vaccinations can leave children exposed to serious illnesses at a time when they’re most vulnerable. On-time vaccination and overall participation in childhood immunisation programs continues to improve in NSW, with 94.5% of children fully vaccinated by five years of age in the past 12 months compared with 90.8% in 2012.

Allow Extra Time: It is great to see the improvement roadworks taking place near Moorbel Drive on Cargo Road to widen the very thin section of this road. Make sure you allow extra travel time as an escort vehicle is currently in place delaying traffic.

AGM: The Canowindra Pre-School Kindergarten will hold their AGM on Tuesday 17th March at 6pm at the Pre-School. All positions will be vacant and everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call the Pre-School on 6344 1261.
