Volunteers Needed: Cabonne Council’s Home and Community Care team are seeking volunteers in particular for the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS), which involves volunteers visiting elderly people in facilities in the area. For more information on the CVS program or other ways to get involved with your community, please contact Cabonne Council Home and Community Care on 6344 1199.

R U OK Day: Suicide effects every age, financial, religious, ethnic or sexual orientation group and R U OK Day is about acknowledging this and starting the conversation with the ones you love and care for. Canowindra Health Council in conjunction with the Canowindra Health Centre and Rural and Remote Mental Health are hosting an R U OK Day on Thursday 12th September from 10am to 2pm outside Canowindra
Pharmacy. No one should have to struggle on their own in our small town, so come along and say G’Day.

St Edward’s Little Saints Orientation Program: Begins on Monday 9th September from 9am – 11am. Followed by four more sessions on Monday 16th and 23rd September and 21st and 28th October. For more information please call Principal Ken McNamara on 6344 1170.

Support Steptember: Steptember is a global movement to fund research and improve understanding of cerebal palsy. Go to www.steptember.org and donate to support the Canowindra Wonky Tonkeys consisting of Katherine Burchell, Christiaan Uys, Vicki Davis and Rossanne Holmes.
