Book Week was celebrated in Canowindra this week.

Paytens Bridge Closed: Paytens Bridge at Eugowra will be closed from Monday 30th September to Sunday 13th October 2019 while RMS undertake scheduled maintenance works. Detours will be in place via Gooloogong during the bridge closure and variable message boards will inform drivers of the changed traffic conditions. When this phase of the work is finished, the bridge will reopen under traffic control until the project is completed.

Congratulations: To Annette Walker who won the Canowindra $50 open order in the Canowindra Creative Centre Inc raffle. Thank you to everyone who supported the raffle.

St Edward’s Little Saints Orientation Program: Will begin on Monday 9th September from 9am – 11am. Followed by four more sessions on Monday 16th and 23rd September and 21st and 28th October. For more information please call Principal Ken McNamara on 6344 1170.

Youth of The Month: Cabonne Council invites nominations for the Youth of the Month Award. The Youth of the Month program is a great opportunity to acknowledge and reward the outstanding young citizens in Cabonne. At the end of each year the award winners are then reviewed by Council and a Youth Ambassador for the following year is selected to tour with the Mayor during the Australia Day celebrations. Council invites nominations each month from Schools, the TAFE and University, sporting groups and work places to acknowledge the achievements of the outstanding youths in the Cabonne Region.
