Stork News: Bianca Amos and Anthony Howard are excited to announce the safe arrival of their first child Riley Eric James Howard. Riley was born at Orange Base Hospital on Wednesday 5 June weighing 8 pound 3 ounces. Proud grandparents are Garry and Kim Amos of Cowra, Rick Howard and Leonie Trounson of Whitton and Ronnie Peacock of Finley.

The Garden of Love: Following its acclaimed program of cantatas at the 2018 Baroquefest, Canberra’s Ad Hoc Baroque will return to celebrate springtime with a superb cantata by Alessandro Scarlatti, “Il Giardino d’Amore” (The Garden of Love). This tells the story of the goddess Venus and the love-stricken shepherd boy Adonis. Scored for recorder, trumpet and strings, its duets and arias are full of musical variety, evocative descriptions of nature, and emotional feeling.
