Cargo 2 Grenfell Fundraiser Walk: A huge congratulations must go to the Canowindra Chicks team who last weekend took up the challenge and walked from Cargo 2 Grenfell to raise money for the Black Dog Institute. The Canowindra Chicks team consisted of Kerby Lawrence, Kobie Rogers, Bron
Newman, Fiona Bailie and Lorrae Barker and raised $3,408. There were lots of sore and blistered feet by Sunday afternoon!

Community Insurance: Are you a small non-profit community organisation in Canowindra? Arthur Falconer is currently looking into cheaper insurance options for the small non-profit organisations in town. Many groups are covered by their NSW or National Associations but other standalone groups do not have that luxury. If there are other small groups either without insurance or suffering from high insurance costs let Arthur know as he is looking into
whether the other groups may want to join and insure as a single group. Please email Arthur with any questions on arthur.f@bigpond.com

Balcony Dinner: The Old Vic Inn Balcony Dinner will be held this Saturday 16th March 2019 with 4 courses on offer including wine for $100 per person. The Menu is inspired by food from a 100 mile radius to Canowindra and includes for Starters – Tasting Plate of the Area – Rosnay olives and figs, Trunkey Creek Sausage and Pork Terrine, Entrée – Pork Fillet rolled with a fig, cheese and apple farce served with a white wine, mustard and cream sauce, Main – Local Cowra Lamb served with a blackberry sauce, heritage carrots and dutch cream mash potatoes, Dessert – Twice baked chocolate torte with crumble base and red wine poached pears followed by Coco Harvest Chocolate. If you would like to book please ring 6344 1009.

World’s Greatest Shave: Canowindra local Molly Grant will shave her head today at Canowindra Hotel to raise money for cancer research. Molly had to say goodbye to two close friends who died of cancer recently and this prompted her to take action. Once Molly turned 18 she decided the best thing to do was to raise money to help find a cure. “Canowindra is a small community but I see so many great people walk into the hotel every day who really care about
the town. I think I’ve set a realistic goal to raise $560 and I’ve been really touched by everyone’s support so far,” said Molly. To donate head to http://ow.ly/zLLZ30nWTr8
