Best Fish and Chips: Congratulations to the Cargo General Store for being awarded the Best Fish and Chips in the Central West of NSW as voted by Triple M listeners. If you haven’t tried them head into the store and see Cath, Ben and the team!

Pink Ribbon Morning Tea: The Phoenix will once again host a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea on Thursday 15th November from 10am in the front garden of Montrose House. Everyone is welcome to come along to help raise money for Women’s Cancers.

Teddy Bears Picnic: Will be held on Sunday 25th November at 11.30am at St Edward’s School. The School and Parish would like to invite the entire community to come together for Ellie Wild for this event. Please bring your teddy bear, picnic lunch and rug and enjoy the activities to help raise some funds for the Children’s Leukemia Foundation, Ronald McDonald House and the Wild family.

Congratulations: To the winner of the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary raffle held on Saturday 10th November the winner was Larry Nunn.

Community Bank Survey: Don’t forget to register your interest at participating in the Canowindra Community Bank Survey. Simply put your name down on the register at Canowindra Newsagency, Canowindra Phoenix, Finns Store and the Bendigo Bank Agency at Ian Simpson and Co in Gaskill St.

Fashion at Eddy’s Fundraiser: The Fashion Parade held last month at Eddy’s of Canowindra, a fundraiser for the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary raised over $3,000. With more than 100 tickets sold, ladies enjoyed an afternoon hosted by Tommy Jeffs with fashion parades from Rockstar Clothing, Frock On and Finns Store. The Hospital Auxiliary will be purchasing some new equipment with these funds and are very grateful for the donation.
