Catch of the Week Winner: Jack Crosby has won a $30 Fishing Factory voucher for entering the Catch of the Week competition for October.

Pink Ribbon Morning Tea: The Phoenix will once again host a Pink Ribbon Morning Tea on Thursday 15th November from 10am in the front garden of Montrose House. Everyone is welcome to come along to help raise money for Women’s Cancers.

Handover Ceremony: The Canowindra Historical Society will hand back searchlights to the Cowra Breakout Association on Tuesday 13 November at 1.30pm at the Canowindra Historical Museum. When the Cowra POW camp was dismantled at the end of WW2, two of the large searchlights were obtained by Canowindra Showground. Some years later these lights were deemed no longer useful and were given to the Historical Museum, where they have rested unnoticed in storage. A recent visitor noticed them, asked some questions, began some research and identified them.

Teddy Bears Picnic: Will be held on Sunday 25th November at 11.30am at St Edward’s School. The School and Parish would like to invite the entire community to come together for Ellie Wild for this event. Please bring your teddy bear, picnic lunch and rug and enjoy the activities to help raise some funds for the Wild family.

Boomerang Bag Making Workshop: Will be held on Friday 16th November from 11am until 2pm at the CWA Hall in Blatchford St. Head along and learn and make your own reusable shopping bag. Everyone is welcome, contact Bev on 0488 778 173.

Soft Plastic Recycling Launch: Next week is National Recycling Week and on Friday 16th November at 10am at Foodworks the Canowindra CWA will show you how to recycle your soft plastics and let you know what can and can’t be recycled at the Soft Plastics Recycling launch.
