Orana House: Has been fully renovated and completed with thanks to Cabonne Council and the contract workers who brought it back to life. The Canowindra Creative Centre (CCC) were excited to get back into craft on Monday from 11am-2pm at the newly renovated house. Mosaic is held on Tuesday between 10am-3pm.

WINNER: Congratulations to Jim Finnimore on winning a double pass to the Australian National Field Days being held at Borenore from today (Thursday 25th October) until Saturday 27th October.

Grow a Mo for a Bro! This November why not grow a mo and help raise money for Movember to assist Men’s Health. On Friday 30th November a Prawn and Chicken night will be held at the Canowindra Services Club at 6.30pm. Cost is $25 per person and tickets can be purchased at the Club or at Cargo Store.

Last Week for Competition: We have had some AMAZING entries into our Spring Photo Competition so far. With only 1 week left to go before entries close on Wednesday 31st October, send your photos in via email to editor@canowindraphoenix.com.au or via the Facebook page. This years winner will win a family photo shoot with Jess Grant from Jessica Elizabeth Photography valued at $150.

Year 12 Eat Healthy to Beat Exam Stress: Exam time is hard when students get stressed so why not try some simple food swaps. Swap a piece of cake for some wholegrain crackers with cheese and tomato, an energy drink for a fruit smoothie, or chips for a handful of nuts. Get a reusable water bottle that you can pop in your bag and refill regularly to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. Use your study break to prep some healthy snacks. Cooking can be great for relaxation and mindfulness, plus you’ll create some healthy snacks to help keep you away from the vending machine. Don’t deny yourself the
occasional treat! Consider your caffeine intake as too much caffeine can increase your heart rate and create feelings similar to anxiety.

Catch of the Week: Don’t forget to send in your fishing photos to editor@canowindraphoenix.com.au and you could WIN a $30 voucher to The Fishing Factory in Orange, drawn monthly.

Busy Weekend in Canowindra: The Baroquefest, local weddings and the Big Little Histories meant Canowindra was a busy place last weekend!
