Christmas in July Window Display Competition: The Canowindra Phoenix has been lucky enough to be granted $500 from Cabonne Council under the Event Assistance Program to go towards prizes for the Christmas in July Window Display Competition. The judges will be busy this week picking the best window, people’s choice and the kids colouring in competition winners. A big thank you to Cabonne Council for this funding boost towards the competition.
The Cargo Village Markets: Are on again this Sunday 5th August from 10am-2pm. There will be lots of entertainment for the children with a jumping castle, face painting and pony rides. There will be live music a bar with beer and wine, coffee and lots of food! The Cargo Markets are raising funds
for Aussie Helpers who are currently helping farmers battling the drought.
Swap Meet: The Annual Canowindra Pony Club Swap Meet will be held on Sunday 5th August at the Canowindra Showground. Why not get a site and sell or swap some of those things cluttering up your house or shed. Alternatively come and buy some more things to add to your collection! There will be lots to see and a canteen will be available from 6am for breakfast, morning Tractorthon tea and lunch. Gates open at 5.30am for swappers and 6.30am for the general public. Entry is $3 per adult, children are free.
2018 Canowindra PA&H Show: The Canowindra Show is fast approaching, it will be held on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd September 2018. The Show provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the talent and skills of the community. Not only does it attract people locally but also from the region. The annual Show is for the community by the community. It is wonderful to see the creativity brought together in one place with appreciation for everyone.
Moorbel Markets are on again: This Saturday 4th August commencing at 8.00am until 12 noon at the Moorbel Hall. Stallholders are local and regional people with a great range of affordable items including handmade knitted toys, gift items, collectables, plants, soap, beautiful items with that personal touch, jewellery, jams, bric-a-brac and of course, lovely homemade cooking.
