Don’t miss the Hannah’s Story presentation next Wednesday 16th October at Canowindra Connections Centre.
Hannah Clarke and her three children, Aaliyah, 6, Laianah, 4, and Trey, 3, lost their lives as a result of domestic violence on 19 February 2020.
The Clarke Family wish to honour the memories of their beloved family members by establishing Small Steps 4 Hannah to raise awareness and educate children and young people to identify coercive control behaviours and H.A.L.T. (Hannah, Aaliyah, Laianah, Trey) the cycle of Domestic and Family Violence.
Hannah’s Story will be presented by Michael Jeh, DV Prevention Educator on Wednesday 16th October at Canowindra Connections Centre, 38 Blatchford Street, at 6pm.
Michael Jeh is an Oxford Blue and former first-class cricketer, now working in the area of gender equity and DV prevention/bystander training. A Commerce degree in Australia, followed by postgraduate study at Oxford University and over 15 years as a professional cricketer has given him a unique insight into the world of boys and men’s lenses when it comes to the current issues that are in the spotlight. He works with clients as diverse as schools, corporates, university colleges, maximum-security prisons and elite sporting teams.
These sessions aim to create more awareness and empower members of the community about the early warning signs of coercive control and the tragic but inspirational story of Hannah Clarke, her three children and family.
This presentation is being hosted jointly by Canowindra Connections Centre and Canowindra CWA. A light supper will be provided.
