The sun finally shone on the crowds that attended the 2022 Canowindra Show. After a two-year hiatus, the show returned with an absolute bang.
Friday, 23rd September set the scene, which was a night of entertainment including the opening of the Canowindra Show, Esky races, live music and fireworks.
Saturday crowds filled sideshow alley, and thrill seekers were not disappointed with several rides on offer.
The animal nursery was as popular as ever with young and old lining up to cuddle the animals on display.
Farming and agricultural displays included sheep shearing, tractor pull, woodchopping and chainsaw racing and dog high jump.
The pavilion was a magnificent display of our local talents and a true highlight of the show.
An amazing array of produce and flowers greeted the show attendees at the entrance of the pavilion, filling it with a colourful atmosphere.
Entries in cooking, craft, woodwork and metalwork filled the stalls, alongside displays from our local schools. The photography section was a true insight to life in Canowindra and one of the most popular pavilion sections.
Sunday best on display next as the Jillaroo and Jackaroo of the show were announced followed by the sashing of the Canowindra Young Women & Rural Achiever.
The 2022 Canowindra Show Committee has a lot to be proud of for putting together this year’s show, and we are looking forward to seeing what is in store for 2023.
